Members of the FirmWilliam Paul Blackford
Bill is one of the members of the new generation of Maryland attorneys. Less than five years out of law school, Bill has already been involved in high-profile criminal investigations and prosecutions as well as million-dollar litigation for personal injury, wrongful death and business contract claims in federal and state courts. Bill is a tried and true Marylander, having grown up in Mt. Airy, MD. He attended Loyola High School and graduated with honors from Saint Joseph’s University with majors in Philosophy and English Literature. After college, Bill began his legal career working for the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office and some of Maryland’s best criminal defense lawyers. After graduating in the top of his class from the University Of Maryland School Of Law, Bill honed his civil litigation skills, working on cases involving home owner and construction company disputes, Mechanics’ Liens and other contract claims. Bill is active in the Maryland community, donating his hours in pro bono legal services and community volunteer activities. In 2005, Bill joined with Chris Flohr to form Blackford & Flohr, L.L.C., a firm dedicated to providing high-quality trial advocacy for its clients. Together, they wanted to establish the kind of firm that is difficult to find: one that would provide passionate and practical legal advocates who are able to go to the mat for their clients and care more about them than politics or paychecks. Bill is a member of the Baltimore County Bar Association, the Baltimore City Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and is an active speaker, writer and commentator on legal issues.
In his free time, Bill enjoys going to the gym, playing ice hockey and guitar and spending time with his wife and
two dogs, Oscar (right) and Toby (left).
